If the player kills a salmon and then catches it, the (dead) salmon will yield a salmon meat and a salmon roe. Can anyone else confirm about salmon? I haven't tried the barnacles or the slaughterfish yet. But I noticed, if I caught them, they would only disappear and yield no meat. The salmon roe worked too, I started having 'cultivated' salmon.

I noticed that the fish would take the 48 hours, but I haven't away from my house for much longer than that. The clam meat worked for me, a few clams appeared to the left of the hatchery, but I've never seen the clams respawn. Slaughterfish egg also confirmed to work. Weirdly, the clam meat does work, but the Nordic Barnacle doesn't. I'm just going to research clams and barnacles before I do the edit. Presumably it was added for this purpose. Incidentally, the Hearthfire plug-in adds Salmon Roe as an ingredient, (if you build a Kitchen and its furniture, some should appear near the oven in a bowl) and this can be added to the fishery. 68.110.21.229 19:43, 11 September 2012 (EDT) Thanks, confirmed the timing - my bad, I waited 7 days in the fish hatchery itself, should have left the area. It also takes less than a week to spawn them- most of the Hearthfire content (the crops in the garden, the hatchery, etc.) seems to be on the shop inventory timer (2 days). I don't know about barnacles and clams but it seems like they wouldn't work despite being classified with the fish type of static creatures. Slaughterfish can be generated by using Slaughterfish eggs.
